5 Top Podcasts You Need To Be Listening To

As a mom of three running my own business, time is at a premium.

And if you’re like me, you want to find quality, interesting podcasts to listen to but don’t have the time to dig through the endless content that’s out there.

You may also be new to podcast listening and need a beginner podcast listening guide.

That’s where my podcast and tip list come in.

I curated a list of some of the best podcasts to start listening to that have consistently delivered on quality.

Additionally, these podcasts are not serial stories. Meaning, you can start wherever you want in the series.

But before we dive into my top 5 podcast shows, let’s start with some tips to help make sure listening to podcasts doesn’t become part of the “things I’d love to do but don’t have time for” list.

Pro Tip #1: Increase the playback speed

Don’t laugh if you already know this one, but my sister pointed out you can increase the playback speed of the podcast.

This was revolutionary for me.

Especially when you realize how slow some podcasters speak. Sometimes cranking it up to 1.5 speed still sounds like a normal conversation.

I went from needing 30 minutes to only 20 minutes of listening time, which translated into more good podcasts to consume. But make sure to ease into it. Start at 1.25 and then increase it as you get used to the speed.

If you’re an Apple Podcasts user, check out this support page. If you listen on any other platform and can’t find this function, a quick Google search should help you find what you need.

Pro Tip #2: Download episodes

Download episodes you want to listen to onto your phone or through a podcast app — I use Stitcher. This way you won’t have to use streaming data to listen, and you can have interesting podcast episodes for listening on the go.

Pro Tip #3: Always have your headphones
